Each programme will have four types of courses such as Language courses (English, Additional Language), Core courses (Main Subjects), Complementary courses (subsidiary subjects) and open course (choice based).Course evaluation includes both internal evaluation and external evaluation. Course evaluation is by grading system. The normal duration of a first degree programme shall be three years consisting of six semesters. The duration of each semester shall be five months inclusive of the days of examinations. Odd semester commences in June and Even Semester commences in December every year.
For the smooth conduct of CBCSS programmes, the University has suggested three levels of monitoring committees: Department
Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) , College level Monitoring Committee( CLMC) and University Level Monitoring Committee(ULMC). The ULMC comprises of all the CLMC convenors and it holds periodical meetings and discusses the progress and the procedure of CBCSS programmes.
The decisions and suggestions of ULMC will be taken to the respective college level by CLMC convenor and will be monitored by the respective CLMC which comprises of all the HOD’s. The decisions and suggestions of CLMC will be taken to the departments by the HOD and will be monitored by the respective DLMC’s which contain student representatives of the classes. The CLMC members should keep in touch with the university website and the computer centre for the information and updated CBCSS programmes.
The admission, registration of the students, semester- wise schedule of internal and end semester examinations, issue of hall tickets, announcement of results are all being done through on- line admission system of the University. The University Computer Centre is facilitating this process.
The University admission is through on-line system. The University invites applications for admission to various programmes to all affiliated colleges directly from the students and prepares an allotment list for admission to various colleges. If seats are vacant after the due date of list, the colleges shall conduct spot admission on a notified date to fill up the vacancies. The list of selected students from all colleges should be intimated to the University after the closure of the admission.
